Our Mission
The Glen Innes and District Community Centre will provide a safe space that coordinates local service delivery to individuals and community groups, which will:
•Assist individuals in connecting with appropriate services
•Facilitate access to community support network groups
•Provide access to informal social networks and groups
Our Objectives
Facilitating social connection: acting as a hub for social interaction, we encourage residents to connect with one another and different groups within the community.
Providing referral services: offering a variety of referral services, including health and social care programs, educational opportunities, and support for vulnerable individuals.
Being a safe and welcoming space: our centre serves as a safe space for people to gather for various activities and purposes.
Supporting a diverse community: fostering community connections and relationships, including reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in our area, while also enhancing the inclusion of an increasingly culturally diverse community.
Providing flexible spaces: our venue offers a flexible and adaptable platform to accommodate a range of uses, including community events, office spaces, kitchen facilities, and a hall.
